Where are leaders like this today, HR ?we are blessed to have these men in our past. I pray that our future has such individuals like you who value the country over their selfish aims for power.
As a retired Navy "Chief," I wish my Army friends happy birthday. (On a more disheartening note, I was very disappointed with the behavior of the troops at Fort Bragg this week. I don't think General Washington would have approved. Just my humble opinion. )
See my Parades End and The Spirit of Benedict Arnold.
I reviewed Dereliction Of Duty for the Philadelphia Inquirer. My blurb is second down paper ed.
See Breaking Good: The Bad Conscience of Robert McNamara for a different take. For the current SecDef see Delirium Tremens, Secretary of Dirty War, and Ignominy/Farce/Portent.
Thanks for this reminder.

How we miss Washington’s humility… Inspiring, HR. Thank you.
